Full course description
Part 1 of the Literacy Education for DHH Learners course addresses the requisites that underpin literacy (i.e., reading and writing) in deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) students.
At the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Describe the framework for literacy learning
- Understand how elements of language (i.e., syntax, lexical, and sublexical) underpin literacy.
- Recognize the pedagogical implications of these understandings and their role in instructional planning.
