This is the tenth and final course in a series of 10, 60-90 minute online courses. After completing the Autism Assessment Toolkit Part 10: The Challenges of Identifying High Functional Individuals with autism, the participant will be able to discuss:
- the adverse effect on educational performance for high functioning individuals who do not receive services
- the implications of assuming high functioning individuals don’t need services because they excel in academics
- misconceptions and examples of “unintentional neglect”
- the social and behavioral skill deficits that may warrant evaluation.
