Full course description

Welcome to the Texas Education Agency (TEA)'s Science Safety Training Course for High School. This self-paced course is a foundational training module for science safety at the high school level. This course allows high school science, science elective, and CTE teachers to review safety policies, procedures, and responsibilities pertaining to instructional settings. This course is designed to supplement district or campus-led safety training. In that training, teachers should become familiar with safety equipment, such as eye wash stations, fire blankets, lab equipment, etc. Districts and campuses should also plan for hands-on practice with students as they learn safety procedures in the science classroom.   After completing this course and mastering 80% on the posttest, you will receive 3 CPE credits.
