Title III Early Childhood Education for English Learners 26-27

Early childhood education for English learners is critical for language and literacy development. Thus, preschool programs and the early elementary grades must purposefully design instruction and include home-school connections specifically for English learners. Learn how to understand how to design early childhood learning experiences targeted for English learners; explore how to meet students’ cognitive, linguistic, and affective/emotional needs to foster language development; and examine aspects of emergent literacy and other academic domains.
