Course
Strengthen ELAR Instruction with ELPS-Aligned CBLI Practices 26-27
Ends Jul 31, 2027

Full course description
This course is designed to underscore the importance of implementing the English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS) with aligned content-based language instruction (CBLI) in English Language Arts and Reading. ELPS implementation alone is not enough. CBLI is essential because it aligns instruction to ELPS by embedding intentional language development into daily, grade-level content learning, ensuring emergent bilingual (EB) students can access, engage, and succeed academically. This course specifically explores how the ELPS cross-curricular student expectations and linguistic supports may be incorporated into an ELAR lesson.
